Sealants protect the grooved and pitted surfaces of the teeth, especially the chewing surfaces of back teeth where most cavities in children are found. Made of clear or shaded plastic, sealants are applied to the teeth to help keep them cavity-free. The application of a sealant is quick and comfortable. It takes only one visit. The tooth is first cleaned. It is then conditioned and dried. The sealant is then flowed onto the grooves of the tooth and allowed to harden or hardened with a special light. Your child will be able to eat right after the appointment.

MOUTH GUARDS ARE COVERING WORN OVER TEETH AND OFTEN USED TO PROTECT TEETH FROM INJURY DURING SPORTS. Dental trauma is one of the most serious oral health problems in active children and adolescents. One of the most effective ways of preventing dental trauma during physical activity is through a dental mouth guard or sports guard. Sports Guards are designed to help cushion the mouth, teeth and jaws, preventing significant damage in the event of a sports injury. Wearing a sports guard is an important precaution for athletes of any age and ability.
Mouth guards help protect the teeth and gums from trauma.
